About us
Cocoa & Cream Collective was born from a simple belief — that great food has the power to bring people together. When paired with a spirit of hospitality, people feel at home the moment they walk through the door – whether at our bakery, your home or a special event. Combined with our team’s lifelong passion for exceptional desserts, great coffee, and simple pleasures, Cocoa & Cream was created as a space where everyone can gather around the table.
Because here, every cup of coffee and every bite is an invitation — to slow down, connect, and savor life’s little joys.
Our Mission
To craft well-made food that brings people together, makes every day special, and turns celebrations into memories.
This is why we’re committed to supporting local bakers and artisans, sourcing quality ingredients, and creating handcrafted food that’s made to savor, share, and celebrate.
Our Team
At Cocoa & Cream Collective, every treat begins with care — and the talented hands behind it. Our team of pastry chefs and bakers share a passion for craftsmanship, creativity, and connection. From croissants to coffee and everything in between, each recipe is made from scratch with the same goal in mind: to bring people together, make every day special, and turn celebrations into memories.
Casey Morgan, Lead Pastry Chef
Casey Morgan’s baking journey began nearly fifteen years ago — with her son’s very first birthday cake. Money was tight, so she decided to bake it herself. It wasn’t perfect, but to her, it was magic — and in that moment, a lifelong passion was born.
A lifelong creative, Casey has always loved to draw, paint, and craft. She never imagined those artistic skills would one day come to life through buttercream and sugar. But once she realized she could blend creativity with baking — and make a living doing something she loved — everything clicked.
Through years of practice, trial and error, late nights, and countless lessons learned, Casey taught herself the art and discipline of cake making. Along the way, she mastered not just recipes, but resilience — learning how to manage a business, care for customers, and handle every “sticky situation” with grace (pun intended).
What began as a small side project to help support her family evolved into a career filled with purpose, artistry, and connection.
For Casey, baking has always been about people. She loves running into customers around town, hearing about their celebrations, and seeing how something as simple as a cake can bring joy and connection. Being part of her community’s milestones — birthdays, weddings, and little everyday moments — is what keeps her inspired.
“With the formation of Cocoa & Cream, my hope is to bring joy and camaraderie to Yorktown, Muncie, and the surrounding communities,” Casey shares. “I want Cocoa & Cream to be a special place — warm, welcoming, intentional, and full of possibility. A place where people can pop in for a treat, feel seen, feel at home, and maybe even have their day turned around just a little.”
This next chapter feels like a dream finally taking root — and Casey is honored to help make it sweeter, one handcrafted creation at a time.
Heather Taylor, Founder
For Heather Taylor, Cocoa & Cream Collective is the perfect blend of creativity, community, and craftsmanship. After more than 30 years in corporate marketing leadership and years of growing a successful local business, Heather felt called to create a space where connection could be built through food — a place where every detail, from the first sip of coffee to the last bite of cake, feels intentional and heartfelt.
Rooted in a family tradition of hospitality and a lifelong love of quality food, Heather’s vision is simple: to make every day a little sweeter and every celebration even more memorable. That dream became Cocoa & Cream Collective — a warm, welcoming bakery and café built on quality, creativity, and connection.
“For us, Cocoa & Cream isn’t just about bread and desserts — it’s about people,” Heather shares. “We’ve seen how community can grow around shared passions, whether it’s sports or something sweet, and we’re excited to bring that same spirit into a new space. We hope you’ll stop by and find a little joy in every visit.”
